About
I believe that every person has a story worth understanding. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating relationship challenges, healing from past trauma, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent over a decade working in healthcare research, developing programs that improved access to care for underserved and marginalized communities. Throughout that work, I was continually drawn to the people behind the research—their resilience, their struggles, and the stories that shaped who they are. That curiosity eventually led me to psychotherapy.
As the daughter of immigrant parents, I understand how culture, family expectations, and intergenerational experiences can shape our identity, relationships, and sense of self. My own journey has deepened my appreciation for the complexities of belonging, self-worth, healing from past wounds, and learning to care for ourselves with greater compassion. As a BIPOC therapist in an intercultural marriage and a mother of three (including twins), I also understand the realities of balancing relationships, parenting, work, and personal well-being.
Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, curious, and easy to talk to. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, accepted, and never judged. Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, build on your existing strengths, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
I work with individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, self-esteem concerns, parenting difficulties, and intercultural relationship issues. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Brainspotting, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
When I'm not in the therapy room, you'll often find me running local trails, exploring farmers' markets with my family, spending time in nature, listening to podcasts, or diving into the latest research in psychology and personal growth. I believe healing happens not only in therapy but also through the small moments of connection, curiosity, and joy we cultivate in everyday life.
If you're ready to take the next step, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you. I invite you to book a complimentary 15-minute consultation so we can explore whether we're the right fit for your journey.
